an [ im ] material space rooted in martinique/wanakaera functioning as an artistic and cultural research lab engaging togetherness and experimental pedagogy

Nianiba residency program supports practitioners and thinkers from diverse backgrounds, including art, architecture, music, science, and interdisciplinary fields— by providing research-based residencies taking the form of a space for critical reflection, creative exchange, and material exploration. Situated in Martinique, our residency encourages artists to engage with the territory and its population and crucially, artists are granted the freedom  to do not produce any specific outcomes, giving them the space to rest and simply be.
