SIANO

TOUTOUN BAMBOU

Nianiba had the pleasure to be invited by COLORS and Union Jeunesse Internationale as part of their event TONES, in Paris. For this moment, we wanted to showcase our SIANO program, and working with the legendary Max Cilla was an obvious choice!
Max Cilla, also known as “the father of the flûte des mornes,” initiated each and every one of you with care, patience, and love to the flûte des mornes / toutoun bamboo; you were also able to learn the basics of playing this flute.

This was followed by a moment of demonstration and explanation on how to make this flute, which is as powerful in its symbolism as it is pleasing in its symphony.

We are genuinely happy to have been able to create with all of you and to contribute to the circulation of our knowledge and our Caribbean and Martinican heritage.
Thank you, Max, for your generosity and for the love and passion you share with us !

A warm thank you to the entire team at Union Jeunesse and COLORS
